What is Morpheus8 by INMODE?

Morpheus8 is a device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology for fractional resurfacing that stimulates collagen production. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. There is little to no damage to the dermis, and this procedure provides a highly uniform effect.

How Morpheus8 Works

Microneedling is a dermapen procedure that uses tiny needles to prick the skin. This helps generate new collagen and tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Morpheus8 works like a microneedling tool, but rather than prick the skin, this device also incorporates radiofrequency, which triggers collagen and elastin production at a deeper level that microneedling can’t reach alone. The 24 coated pins penetrate the subdermal tissue, coagulating the fat and contracting connective tissue to tighten and rejuvenate the treated area.

For the treatment, we use topical numbing cream on the patient’s treatment area; the handheld device is pressed into the area, allowing the microneedles to penetrate the skin. Once in place, they emit radiofrequency (RF) waves. The heat from these radiofrequency waves penetrates deep into the dermal skin layer, tightening the skin and fat below. The whole procedure – numbing and preparations included – doesn’t take more than two hours.

Morpheus8 treatment delivers effective and uniform results for all skin types without creating any thermal damage to your dermis. The innovative technology also reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is a side effect of some resurfacing techniques.

What Other Areas Can Be Treated?

Morpheus8 is used in any area that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration, or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face, neck, and abdomen, beneficial for tightening loose skin with underlying fatty tissue.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Your results will be seen within a few days, but typically, the most noticeable ones appear after three weeks. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.
Its versatility allows it to be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is familiar with other resurfacing methods.
